A happy life
A golf-ball-sized peony bud can triple in size within a day or two. Its season is short and precious, which is why it is so sought after for weddings.
Children: Can upset the stomach if eaten. Keep it away from small children.
Pets: Causes vomiting and diarrhoea in pets if eaten.

How to care for it
- Choose buds that feel soft like a marshmallow; they open in a day or two. Rock-hard buds may never open.
- Use a tall, sturdy vase as open heads get heavy, and keep them cool to slow opening.
- Keep away from fruit, and change the water and re-cut every two days.
Did you know? A golf-ball-sized bud can swell to three times its size within a day or two.
