Charm and attractiveness
Ranunculus has layer upon layer of tissue-thin petals, like a small peony. Buy it in bud: it opens wide over several days.
Children: Can upset the stomach if eaten, and the sap irritates skin. Keep it away from small children.
Pets: Causes vomiting and drooling in pets if eaten.

How to care for it
- Stems are hollow and fragile; handle gently and keep the sleeve on until they have had a drink.
- Keep water off the petals, and change the water and re-cut every two days.
- Keep away from fruit; it is very ethylene-sensitive.
Did you know? It is also called the Persian buttercup.
