Perfect love
Tulips keep growing after they are cut and lean toward the light, so the bouquet changes shape every day. Their real season runs from November to May.
Children: Can upset the stomach if eaten (the bulb is the worst part and is not sold with cut flowers), and the sap can cause a skin rash.
Pets: Can cause a mild upset in pets if eaten; the bulb is the most toxic part and is not sold with cut flowers.

How to care for it
- Turn the vase daily: tulips grow up to about 2.5 cm and bend toward light.
- If stems droop, wrap the bunch tightly in paper and stand it in cool water for an hour or two to straighten.
- Don’t share water with freshly cut daffodils; their sap shortens tulip life.
Did you know? During the Dutch “Tulip Mania” of the 1630s, some single bulbs sold for fortunes.
