Lasting love; hospitality
The glossy heart shape is really a modified leaf; the true tiny flowers grow on the central spike. It lasts two to four weeks in a vase.
Children: Chewing it causes burning and swelling of the mouth and throat, and the sap irritates skin. Keep it away from small children.
Pets: Causes mouth pain, drooling and vomiting in pets if eaten.

How to care for it
- It is tropical: keep it above about 13°C and never refrigerate.
- Re-cut the stem and change the water every two to three days.
- Handle gently; the glossy spathe bruises.
Did you know? The “flower” is a modified leaf; the real flowers are the tiny dots on the spike.
